Alhambra Museum (Palace of Carlos V)

The Alhambra Museum is on the south wing of the lower level of the Palace. Dedicated to the Hispano-Muslim culture and art it is divided into seven rooms in chronological order. It was established in 1870 in order to watch over the numerous archaeological evidences gathered by the Provincial Comission of Monuments. In 1994 came under the authority of the Council of the Alhambra and Generalife.

Museum of Fine Arts (Palace of Carlos V)

The Museum of Fine Arts occupies the upper level of the Palace. Its vast collections include Grenadine sculptures and paintings from 15th to the 20th century, masterpieces of Baroque, Neoclassicism, Romanticism and grenadine paintings from nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Entrance Fee

Price: 1,50 €.
Free admission for European Union citizens, students with International Cards, ICOM Members, over 65 year-old, pensioners and people with a disability of at least 33%.

Museum of Ángel Barrios (Calle Real, next to the Mosque Baths)

Permanent exhibition

Museum is dedicated to grenadine composer and guitarist Angel Barrios (1882-1964). The exhibition features personal memorabilia, furniture and paintings from the private collection of the musician.
